Salmon fillets are marinated in a harmonious blend of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and a hint of honey for this easy dish! As it bakes, the salmon absorbs the savory-sweet flavors, creating a caramelized glaze on the edges.
Served alongside steamed jasmine rice and stir-fried vegetables, this dish offers a delightful balance of delicate fish, umami-rich marinade, and vibrant Asian-inspired accents.

Ingredients
Salmon Marinade:
4 Salmon Fillets
1/3 cup + 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Chili Oil
2 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 small bunch Chives, finely chopped
3 cm piece Ginger, grated
4 Cloves Garlic, minced
Juice of 1 Lime
1/4 cup Honey
1 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
For Serving:
Grilled Asian Greens (bok choy, Chinese broccoli, etc.)
Steamed Rice
Fresh Coriander, chopped
Spring Onion, chopped
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Prepare the Marinade: In a shallow bowl, combine the soy sauce, chili oil, sesame oil, chopped chives, grated ginger, minced garlic, lime juice, honey, and rice wine vinegar.
3. Marinate the Salmon: Lightly grease a baking tray. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the tray and pour the marinade over them.
4. Bake to Perfection: Cover the tray with aluminum foil and bake the salmon for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes.
5. Prepare the Sides (Optional): While the salmon bakes, prepare your chosen side dishes, such as grilled Asian greens and steamed rice.
6. Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked through, remove the salmon from the oven and transfer it to serving plates. Top with fresh coriander and chopped spring onion. Serve immediately alongside the steamed rice and grilled Asian greens for a complete and flavourful meal.
